Brisbane and dreamworld

My girlfriend has an aunt, living in Brisbane. We went to Brisbane to visit her and her husband last year in spring.

The weekend away went by so quickly. We stayed at a pretty nice hotel on the Friday night and went to dreamworld with her aunt and uncle on Saterday. We had always heard of how much fun the rides are at dreamworld - they werent lying.

My girlfriend nearly deafened me with her scream on the 'the giant drop'. It is a really tall tower of 119 metres high (39 storeys). It opened at dream world in 1998 and has carried more than 5 million passengers to date. During the ride your feet are hanging freely and you get the feel of falling from a 39 storey builing at a whopping speed of 135 km per hour. So much fun!

One of the rides we went on was 'the claw' its like a big wheel on a stick. When we sat there waiting  for it to start, they announced that it had broken (how freaked out my girlfriend was, words cannot describe). Afterwards we decided to take the risk and go on the ride anyway. My girlfriend ended up swinging her hands freely in the air like she wasnt scared at all.

Definately a highly recommended experience!
